(NL) Filmclub is een initiatief van International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR). Filmclub zorgt ervoor dat (aankomende) filmliefhebbers, jonge filmmakers en creatieven bij elkaar komen op verschillende plekken in de stad om films te kijken en interesses uit te wisselen. Tijdens deze Dokhuis-editie onderzoeken we het gevoel van thuis zijn met elkaar door een aantal korte films te bekijken. Er is een nagesprek met makers en we praten met elkaar verder onder het genot van een hapje en een drankje. (EN) Filmclub is an initiative of International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR). Filmclub ensures that (upcoming) film lovers, young filmmakers and creatives get together at different locations in the city to watch films and exchange interests. During this Dokhuis edition, we will explore the feeling of being at home with each other by watching a number of short films. There will be a talk afterwards with makers and we will talk further with each other over a snack and a drink.

Het nagesprek wordt gehost door Inge van Dokhuis en Nina van IFFR.Tijdens het filmprogramma gaan we in gesprek met onder meer de filmmakers Ako Sirini (Gekleurd Ijsje), Hano Hoezen (We are strange) en Khalid Kaso (The Phoenix’s Remaining Ashes)

Over Film in Dokhuis
In Dokhuis maken we ruimte om met elkaar films te kijken en te maken. We geloven dat film je helpt om het andere in de wereld en het andere in jezelf te ontdekken. En dat film een goede manier is om met elkaar in dialoog te raken!
In 2025 zullen we vanaf maart iedere eerste vrijdagavond van de maand – met ondersteuning van IFFR- een filmavond organiseren. De eerstvolgende avond is op 7 maart!

At Dokhuis, we make space to watch and make films with each other. We believe that film helps you discover the other in the world and the other in yourself. And that film is a great way to get into dialogue with each other!
In 2025, starting in March, we will organise a film night every first Friday evening of the month – with the support of IFFR. The next evening will be on 7 March!
