Gooi je kapotte kleding niet weg! Laat ze maken bij Dokhuis!
In samenwerking met Stichting Mano organiseert Dokhuis een kledingreparatiesessie. Vrijwilliger Masi brengt haar naaimachine en reparatievaardigheden mee om jouw kleding een tweede leven te geven.
Je kunt van tevoren een plek reserveren en één kledingstuk meenemen dat gerepareerd moet worden. Afhankelijk van het soort reparatie en de tijd die nodig is, zijn er twee mogelijkheden: je kunt wachten terwijl je kledingstuk wordt gerepareerd en beneden iets drinken, of je kunt het later die dag of de volgende dag ophalen zodra het klaar is.
De plekken zijn beperkt, daarom is vooraf reserveren verplicht.
Over Masi
Masi houdt al van jongs af aan van naaien. Meer dan 60 jaar geleden begon ze thuis te experimenteren met stoffen, waarna ze uiteindelijk jurken, pakken en bruidskleding maakte in Iran. Voor Masi is kleding repareren een creatieve manier om spullen een tweede leven te geven in plaats van ze weg te gooien. Wat haar het meest blij maakt, is mensen gelukkig zien wanneer ze hun gerepareerde kleding terugkrijgen.
Over Stichting Mano
Stichting Mano is een Rotterdamse organisatie die nieuwkomers ondersteunt bij het opbouwen van een nieuw leven in Nederland. Ze richten zich zowel op praktische als persoonlijke versterking en helpen mensen hun talenten te ontdekken, zelfvertrouwen op te bouwen en actief stappen te zetten richting hun toekomst.

In collaboration with Stichting Mano, Dokhuis hosts a clothing repair session. Volunteer Masi will bring her sewing machine and repair skills to help give your clothes a second life.
You can reserve a spot in advance and bring one item of clothing that needs repair. Depending on the type of repair and the time needed, there are two options: you can wait while your item is being repaired and enjoy a drink downstairs at Dokhuis, or you can come back later the same day or the next day to pick it up once it is ready.
Spots are limited, so advance reservation is required.
About Masi
Masi has loved sewing since childhood. More than 60 years ago, she began learning by experimenting with fabrics at home, eventually creating dresses, suits, and wedding clothing in Iran. Today, she brings her experience and care to clothing repair at Dokhuis. For Masi, repairing clothes is a creative way to give things a second life instead of throwing them away. What she enjoys most is seeing people happy when they receive their repaired clothing back.
